Deborah Stroman, PhD, CLU

Deborah Stroman is faculty at both UNC, Chapel Hill and the University of Virginia. She has more than three decades of extensive experience working with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, and alumni on leadership and equity issues. As an entrepreneur, she provides race and racism strategic consulting and education to numerous organizations including the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the North Carolina Cancer Hospital, National Institutes of Health, R1 academic institutions, Fortune 100, and non-profits. She serves on the National Racial Justice Task Force for the United Church of Christ.

She is a national trainer with the Racial Equity Institute LLC. In addition, Dr. Stroman is the founder of the Center of Sport Business and Analytics, which is purposed to connect with and advocate for people and organizations creating equity, impact, and value in the sport industry. In this capacity, she serves as the project coordinator of the national Black Men’s Brain Health initiative with the Dr. Robert Turner lab at The George Washington University, Alzheimer’s Association, National Institute of Aging, and NFL Alumni Association.
